An Outstanding Program

CoBank’s 2018 Energy and Water Executive Forum will bring together some of the nation’s leading experts on the economy, energy, water, policy and politics. Through a series of thought-provoking and informative sessions, the leaders of America’s rural energy and water providers will gain invaluable insight into the current economic and political climate of our nation and a glimpse into the future of their industries. New this year, CoBank will host industry specific energy and water breakout sessions on Thursday afternoon. The conference will also offer attendees the opportunity to network with industry peers and enjoy golf and other activities in a world-class venue.

NEW: Battery Energy Storage and Microgrid Applications Workshop

On Wednesday morning, August 8, prior to the official start of the Energy and Water Executive Forum, CoBank and ABB are co-hosting a Battery Energy Storage and Microgrid Applications Workshop.

This interactive workshop will highlight battery energy storage and microgrid applications for electric co-ops.  Attendees will learn about the market outlook for microgrids, hear from experts on the capabilities of this technology, and engage directly with electric co-ops that have successfully deployed microgrids. Attendees will walk away with the information needed to develop a business case for microgrids, and an understanding of the critical considerations that go into building these systems.

Dress code for this meeting is business casual. Please bring a jacket for the evening functions as it can get cool in the mountains, but ties are not required. Please dress comfortably for the reception and dinner at The Broadmoor’s Seven Falls as there will be walking and opportunities to hike up parts of the Falls for additional views. Jeans and tennis shoes are appropriate for this event. 

Dress code at The Broadmoor East Course requires that all guests are properly attired while on the championship golf course.  Men are required to wear a shirt with a collar.  Ladies are required to wear a blouse with a collar or sleeves. Ladies’ and men’s shorts are to be Bermuda length. Soft spikes are required. Inappropriate attire, such as bare midriffs, short shorts, cut-offs or denim jeans, may result in denied access to golf facilities.
