An Outstanding Program
CoBank’s 2018 Energy Directors Conference will feature presentations from leading experts on the economy, global trends and challenges, as well as the domestic political environment. Our program is designed to give directors of America’s rural energy cooperatives valuable knowledge, insight and information they can use in their business and personal lives. In addition, please join us for a country western dinner and dancing event on Wednesday evening.
There is no charge to attend the conference beyond your travel and hotel expenses. Dress code for this meeting is business casual. You may wish to wear a jacket for dinner, but ties are not required. For further information, contact CoBank’s Corporate Communications Division by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Broadmoor is located on 3,000 acres under the shadow of Cheyenne Mountain and offers an award-winning spa, fitness center, two swimming pools, 54 holes of championship golf, six tennis courts, activities and programs for guests of all ages, several dining options and specialty retail shops.
Please make your hotel reservation online or call The Broadmoor at (800) 634-7711. Mention your CoBank affiliation to receive the preferred room rate of $360. Each room will also be charged a $32 per day resort fee. The number of rooms available at this rate is limited, so please make your reservation as soon as possible. This rate is available to guests for three days before and three days after our event, on a space available basis. After the reservation deadline of June 25, the group rate will no longer be available. Please be aware that any cancellations made within seven days of your arrival date will result in a cancellation fee.
CoBank respectfully requests that you be considerate of all our customers when reserving hotel rooms at our conference hotels. Please make reservations only for confirmed, registered meeting attendees rather than reserving a large block of rooms for potential attendees. While we understand that you want to ensure space for your board, this practice creates artificial sell-out situations and prevents other customers from staying at the conference hotel. Additionally, please cancel rooms you will not use as soon as possible to make space for others who are to get in.
Each attendee is welcome to register one spouse or adult guest to attend the meal functions of the meeting, including the welcome reception, dinner and dancing. To make this process easier, you can now add your guest as part of your registration by simply clicking on the box that says, “I plan to bring a guest” and then provide his/her personal information as requested. Please be sure to correctly indicate the number of attendees for each meal function with the drop-down choices.
Please note that due to space constraints, only one adult guest per invited attendee can be included and pre-registration is required. Thank you for your consideration so that we may accommodate all our customers who would like to attend.
If you are registering on behalf of another individual, please make sure to use their email address when completing the form so that their registration information will be unique. There will be an opportunity for you to add your information in as well so that you will receive copies of the confirmation details. Only one registrant per unique email address will be allowed.
Once you have completed the information for all registrants, be sure to click on “Finish My Registration” in order to finalize your attendance at the meeting. Once you have completed this process, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your registration is incomplete. Please contact CoBank’s Corporate Communications Department by email at email@example.com for assistance.
If you / your guest are unable to attend the meeting, it is required that you cancel your online registration a minimum of 3 business days prior to the start date of the meeting. To cancel, use the link in your email registration confirmation to change or cancel your registration record. Or you can simply send notice of cancellation to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your courtesy in this regard as late cancellations and no-shows represent a significant cost to CoBank.
On Wednesday, July 11, CoBank is pleased to invite spouses and guests to join us for a unique opportunity to be creative and cultivate your inner do-it-yourself design skills as we participate in a hands-on workshop to create a custom wood sign décor piece for your home or office. Board and Brush will lead us through the process of making a customized wooden sign that is worthy of your walls. After we tap into our creative nature, we will sit down for lunch while enjoying panoramic views of Pikes Peak and the Colorado Springs skyline.
Buses will depart the Broadmoor for The Pinery at 9:00 a.m. from the front drive. Activities will begin at 9:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. We expect to return to the Broadmoor at around 2:00 p.m.
If your guest/spouse plans to participate in this event, please be sure to select this agenda item when you provide their information. Space is limited on the spouse program so advanced registration is required.
Because space is limited, we encourage invitees to register as soon as possible for the 2018 CoBank Energy Directors Conference. Simply fill in the requested personal information and complete the agenda page by selecting the events in which you plan to participate.
New Director Orientation - July 9-10
Our New Director Orientation is a day-long program designed for directors of electric cooperatives who have served on their cooperative's board for five years or less. This orientation will familiarize directors with CoBank and provide insights on challenges facing electric cooperative boards.
Participants in the New Director Orientation should register via the same on-line process as for the overall Energy Directors Conference. Once you have provided your personal information, please be sure to select the New Director Orientation session in the agenda portion of the registration process. A limited number of rooms is being held for the night of this program, so please make your hotel reservation as soon as possible to ensure availability.
